Position Summary



As of one of Crowe’s leading market drivers, Risk Consulting helps organizations enhance their corporate governance and mitigate business risks through improving processes and controls, while advising companies on value added approaches to protecting technology usage, compiling with laws and regulations, and developing their enterprise risk management.  Risk Consulting is aligned by competency centers including Business Risk, Regulatory Compliance Risk, and Technology Risk.


Professionals in Crowe Horwath’s Business Risk Competency Center provide client services such as internal audit, Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 consulting, enterprise risk management, and many other risk consulting services.  Skilled professionals within this group provide their expertise to specific client needs in a wide variety of disciplines that demonstrate an impact on organizations that add value and improve performance.




  • Assessing and advising on risk identification and mitigation
  • Internal auditing, testing and analyzing financial information
  • Assessing a control’s design and/or operating effectiveness
  • Consulting with clients on business process design
  • Reviewing client’s compliance with key regulations and providing recommendations for improvement and remediation
  • Producing high quality work products that will be reviewed by our clients’ senior management team members as well as potential third parties
  • Interacting with client personnel and management
  • Getting involved in the community and developing strong relationships
  • Multi-tasking and prioritizing a number of projects at the same time

Applicants should meet the following qualifications:

  • Senior pursuing academic degrees in Accounting, Internal Audit, Finance, Economics or similar background
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA (major and cumulative) required. 3.2 GPA (major and cumulative preferred.
  • Relevant work experience (e.g. internships, summer positions, school jobs)
  • Demonstrated leadership, problem solving, and strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work on multiple assignments, leadership, problem solving, and strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment with professionals of all levels
  • Eligibility to sit for the CPA or CIA examination upon graduation
  • Willingness to travel 60% or more annually
